Dave and Marty are a co-writer/director team that together, under the banner of Riot, develop and create character driven films and documentaries.

The bedrock of our approach is our unwavering dedication to finding the most compelling and engaging story within an idea, and our passion for the science and craft of developing it. We are fierce defenders of the idea that everything starts with story, and are self proclaimed nerds for our process of story development and writing.

SLATE

Our current slate includes;

• a feature biopic and docuseries that charts the extraordinary life of surfing legend Mark Occhilupo;

• a true crime docuseries that exposes a dark underworld of systemic corruption festering within the highest levels of power;

• a docuseries, presented by the Logie Winning Tony Armstrong, that delves into the inner machinations of the 2001 AFL off-season, unveiling how the actions of a select few had a ripple effect on the league in the decade that followed;

• a feature that brings to life the incredible true story of how the wild theory of a 29y/o rookie agent led to the take-down of a notorious South American drug cartel;

• a psychological thriller that explores the true measures of trust within family when a teenager is found alive ten years after her disappearance;

• and a docuseries that follows two ambitious entrepreneurs as they scour the globe in search of the next great technological advancement in humankind, staking a $100 million investment fund on their ability to find it.
